About Our Lead SiStar:

Greetings,

My  name is Dr. Kitsy Dixon and I have been on a journey of complex heartbreak for many years. I have found heartbreak to be one of the loneliest moments of our lives. There are very few places a single woman can go for resources, support groups, and guidance when she is single and experiencing heartbreak. Instead, we are told to:

"Wait it out!" "Pray harder!" "Repent of our sins and God will send us a husband," or "It's not your time yet."

After a heartbreaking encounter at a conference for single women, I began blogging my experiences in hopes that other single women would see my experiences as a safe place. My following became larger than anything in my personal world, so I began to share with other women by writing letters of encouragement and starting a video blog based around singleness, God, and teatime. As we navigate the space of singleness and heartbreak, we must see that it is a ministry where God's best work is done in us. Waiting is not meant to be a struggle, but a praise for the opportunity to do kingdom work for other single women of God.

As a Licensed Provisional Elder in the United Methodist Church, my platform in Christ has allowed me to see many broken-hearted single women come to Christ. Using my God given skills of ministry, pastoral care, administration, and teaching; I invite you to delve deeper into the waiting period of singleness by seeing the joy and presence of Christ.

In Colossians 2:10, we see the narrative of the single woman fully explained to remind us that we are "filled in Christ." This verse provides the truth of understanding that God is the one who makes us complete, and not another person. Perhaps we are called to heartbreak in our singleness so that God can use our broken pieces to create a masterpiece of display for single women everywhere.

Come. Sit on my virtual couch. Pour yourself a cup of hot tea. Leave your broken pieces in the Almighty arms of God.

And you have been filled by Him, who is the head of every ruler and authority.
